Fall is my favorite time of year! I love everything about it, the cooler days, crisp air, pumpkin patches, and the changing of leaves! Is there anything more beautiful than a mountain exploding with hues of yellow, orange, green, and deep reds?! Here in Virginia, we are quickly approaching our peak foliage session and I simply cannot wait! We always make it a point to get to the mountains during this time of year and one area we never miss is the Blue Ridge Parkway! The Parkway is incredibly expansive covering 469 miles running through Virginia and North Carolina. We love the Parkway and take any chance we have to host a session there at one of the countless breathtaking stops!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Shelbie and Matt started to think about their engagement session they knew they wanted something special, a location just a beautiful as their love for each other. The mountains would be the perfect setting for their much-anticipated engagement session! \u00a0Immediately I thought about the Blue Ridge Parkway and began the hunt for a location that would give us bigger than life mountains, incredible views, and not require a hike to get there! Hiking in heels is not fun y\u2019all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thankfully Shelbie didn\u2019t have to hike to get the images of her dreams but she did have to navigate a pretty rough landscape! She made tiptoeing on smooth rocks look like a breeze! These two made everything look effortless, I hardly had to ask them to do anything because they were perfectly lost in each other! It was such a romantic time that sweet Shelbie became overwhelmed with emotion as she stood quietly wrapped up in her future husband\u2019s arms. It was precious and I was soon fighting back my own tears! Happy tears of course because the only thing more beautiful than fall in the mountains is love!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shelbie and Matt, thank you so much for trusting us to find the perfect spot for your session and for being brave enough the climb up and down rocks and dodge all the tourists! You guys are champions! We can\u2019t wait for your wedding next September!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
