Annnnd that’s a wrap! Our last wedding of 2021 is in the books, and it was fantastic! This has been the busiest, most joy-filled, and craziest time of our business! It was a madhouse of nonstop travel, countless all-nighters, and many days running on coffee, five-hour energy, and protein bars! We were on the go so much that I didn’t even really unpack until last weekend! I just left my suitcases half packed and waiting for my next run! It was intense but soul-feeding!

I spent every minute away crashing at a friend or family’s home being loved on and told to get some rest! When I wasn’t with them, I captured memories for some of my favorite families, engagement sessions for our new CC Couples, and celebrating the wedding days of all of our 2021 Fall newlyweds!

It can look and seem like everything is perfect on a wedding day. As if each couple is somehow charmed and has a fairytale love story free from struggle. The albums and features give a glimpse into the joy and happiness our couples are experiencing on their day! That joy is absolute; that image of pure perfection as they become husband and wife is lovely to be a part of.

However, it isn’t the appearance of perfection that makes it a fairytale; it is the imperfections.

When our couples share their stories with us in a venerable and raw way we learn the challenges and battles fought: the struggles and the work they put into creating a bond unlike any other. We celebrate their wedding in a much deeper way! There is victory; there is love. There is an enduring commitment to building a life together that they both love!

That is precisely what Montana and Mike have done; they put in the hard work, humbling themselves and learning to honor each other and their relationship. They endured a long-distance relationship, and together they made it work. Montana and Mike most certainly look like a fairytale, but their unbreakable bond is created from mending the cracks and pouring into their marriage. The mending is what builds strength.

Montana and Mike’s prayer together before their ceremony allowed me to see their love for each other in a new way. It was quiet and honoring love, a love that is grateful for forgiveness and commitment. A love that will never stop.

Montana and Mike, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for sharing this wonderful season of your lives with us! I know that you both will shoot for the stars, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! I’m so excited for you both, and I hope you have a fantastic time in Jamacia!

XOXO
