I remember my first chat with Clare! I knew right away that she and I had to same vision for her engagement session! Beautiful and romantic! Plus anyone that loves blush as much as I do is going to be pretty much amazing, right!
When Clare and Cody arrived at The Alston House, and she stepped out rocking a very chic white spaghetti strapped mini dress and Cody in his uniform I knew this would be a fantastic session! And with each wardrobe change, things only got better as her final dress was this incredibly elegant vintage style floral! Anyone that has read my Style Guide knows I always suggest dressing up and really going all out with hair and makeup! It’s the little things! Thanks to the lovely staff at Looking Glass Salon & Day Spa Clare’s make up was flawless!
As beautiful as Clare was the weather was not! We had extreme levels of humidity way too much heat and dark skies carried in the rain! Oh yeah and the bugs! Lots of bugs! Welcome to the South, y’all! Not once did she or Cody complain or fuss! These two were such troopers! And wow did it pay off!! After their engagement session, I think The Alston House is my new favorite spot in Sanford, NC to photograph! Those white porches and that sunset over the valley is the stuff of photography dreams!
Clare & Cody, thank you so much for trusting us through the ants, and the rain and the heat. You guys were amazing! I can’t tell you how glad I am that we hung out and chatted a bit after the session! That time gave us the perfect backlighting for that last shot with the flag! Totally worth it! I know your wedding day will be amazing; full of beautiful details and blush and we can’t wait! xoxo
